ABOUT KIM!
Kim Gasiciel is an award-winning, mixed Latine, genderqueer and genderfluid (any pronouns are okay!), bi/pan voice talent and singer, originally from the Chicago area, working primarily in LA!
As the youngest of 4 kids, Kim started looking for opportunities to be in the spotlight...pretty much immediately--performing in talent shows, church choir, and school productions. This quickly blossomed into a full-fledged love for arts and performance, and Kim spent her school years dabbling in everything from speech and debate to writing and directing. She attended University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012-2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an English minor. During this time, she was very active in acting, directing, and administrative work with student theatre. She even founded her own Shakespeare company, directing a queer, gender-focused inaugural production of Hamlet!
Through all her theatrical exploits, she discovered her immense love of voiceover, and since then she has acted in a variety of projects, including animation, video games, visual novels, anime, webseries, educational shorts, audio dramas, commercials, and more!
As a queer, multi-ethnic, chronically-ill, plus-sized individual, Kim loves the freedom that voiceover brings to her life, and that she doesn't have to be defined by any one part of her background, identity, or personality (though she takes great joy in the authenticity her experiences bring to her performances!).
Other than acting and singing, she enjoys being in/near water, doodling (she drew the background of this very site, if you're on desktop!), pointing out every animal she sees, hosting and playing trivia, reading speculative fiction, fussing with her garden, making ice cream and other desserts (ask her about her pavlova!), watching movies of ALL kinds (she's up to 1,600+ on Letterboxd), learning new instruments, collecting knick-knacks, playing video and board games, eating tasty things, all manner of tomfoolery, maybe being a little pretentious sometimes (who actively chooses to study philosophy and isn't at least a bit pretentious?), and generally soaking up all life has to offer!
Kim also loves Kirby and seals. Profoundly.
